do what you want queen, life’s too short. obviously be careful and make sure you feel secure with your partner but do what feels right for you, everyone’s timeline is different

Unfortunately my partner has succumb to societal pressures and “norms” and doesn’t want to get engaged until later because that’s what his overbearing mom said (don’t get me wrong I love her deeply but that being said she got engaged in college after 6 months of being with her husband and they’ve been together ever since) he wanted to get engaged sooner until his mom basically said we have to wait (also not an issue of her not liking me, she’s talked about me being part of the family)

i mean it sounds like if he was down before then you can probably talk to him and be like “she did and we’re happy and want to” yk like she has no standing cause she did and if he wanted to before then in a non manipulative way lol you can probably convince him back or at least find a better middle ground?
