make sure you have a backup of water, if your pipes freeze it could shut off your supply

Have basics such as water (bottles or gallons, if your state is not prepared pipes could freeze and no more water) and extra non perishable food (just in case) and bring out blankets

Faucet cover if you have outside faucets. Leave the water trickling. Like a small stream.

Also it helps to keep every faucet at a slow drip to help keep pipes from freezing

oh our pipes definitely weren't build to withstand this. they'll be dripping for 65 hrs if the forecast stays as it is🫩 my adhd roommate better remember

Sometimes I also forget after I use the sink to put the faucet back at a drip, it helps to keep a note taped up by the sink. Make it giant and hold like on a loose leaf or printer paper, not just a sticky note
