Okay wait the live action Lilo and Stitch (only them) are genuinely so cute I love this movie I watched the OG and Moana on repeat for a 10 hr flight to Hawai’i. Ik them by heart now. FUCK I love Hawai’i. This is pretty much what it looks like locally

By locally I don’t mean the established neighborhoods. I stayed on Maui and traveled to up country and Hana. This is pretty cleaner, more polished for a movie. Not as wild or idk human. I would do anything to go back. As a solo female traveler EVERYONE was so nice to me hearing my travel story. So many experiences and more to be had 🫶🏻

If anyone is planning to go- Surfing Goat Farm is so fun and fresh cheese and chocolates MMMMM more please. Visit the farmers market stands, food trucks, locally owned and traditional food stops. It made all the difference on money and genuinely good food. Lahaina is still in repairs, but if you have $$$ merrimans was like a 6/10 but 10/10 service. Also Molokai cruise line for snuba diving. Friends w staff there and partied after. Before Hana town, download your music for 3 hrs worth.

Lastly before Hana town bella surf shop cafe is 8/10 sooo good, there’s a fusion truck in Hana w crispy pork belly, 10/10. In paia the fish market is absolutely a 7/10 considering how packed it was but service was fast. Know exactly what you want before ordering, even arriving. You gotta know your palette for fish for a good plate
