We need to still make effort to protect them so they don’t slip back into being endangered, there’s also other sea turtle species that are still considered endangered and critically endangered

and bc i’m not a vague poster (i meant to do this anon oops), delisting a species strips its protections. it’s good that their numbers are up but it can also lead to more reckless industrial behavior, which further endangers the species. under this administration i take this with a huge grain of salt.
