i hate that in 2010 it was like “racism is definitely bad!” but now for some reason people are just like?? not sure anymore??😭

A lot people are racist and don’t know it. People are seeing individuals get cancelled for things that they do or people around them that they deem “good”.

literally this. i made a post on r/Advice last night (i was going through it okay) about cutting off my dad for using racial slurs against my partner (among other things) and some ppl were attacking me 😭

Ppl were always racist. It just wasn’t as socially acceptable in some parts. But now with the climate we’ve got ppl feel more welcome to say their racist thoughts they’re even loud and proud about it.

everyone I know who’s moved to larger cities than they used to be in, even and especially the most anti-racist and POC friends, have noticed patterns they previously didn’t have to see or ignored. maybe that’s just personal experience but it’s been insane to watch. would love to know what study you’re citing and what year it’s from though, that sounds rly interesting

I read it as “people move to bigger cities and realize that THE OTHER RACES THERE ARE EVIL” because that’s a common trope
