A lot of my extended family is from Mexico/spends a lot of time in Mexico and kissing cheeks is common. Not sure if those are correlated or just coincidence

yeah totally. maybe it’s just a southern thing but i kiss them on the cheek as a show of affection and respect. people are just anti-family smh

I mostly asked this question because one of my friends said it was weird that my family does this. But I think it’s like pretty common in a lot of Mediterranean cultures specifically

I Actually found this map of countries are a kissing is a common way of greeting people. Not sure how accurate it is, but it’s interesting
