What keeps me up at night is all the stray animals in places that it snows freezing to death

not just the strays, but the “pets” of people who INSIST on keeping them outside knowing its dangerous for them and the environment. like theres some poor dog chained to a tree somewhere with no shelter, or a cat scratching at the door to try and find warmth.

I luckily live in a climate where it’s never cooler than 65° and never warmer than 87° but it does rain chronically and most of the pets around here are on chains and it’s so sad.

im in texas, our hottest day was 110 a few months ago. right now its 35 degrees. two weeks ago it was pouring rain for days. leaving a dog to fend for itself in these conditions or any is cruelty and though i realize the dog being taken by the city may end in euthanasia, i think thats a more dignified death than heat stroke or hypothermia. its infuriating 😡

Yeah it’s terrible and drives me insane just thinking about it. Dogs and cats are not meant to be wild animals they are not built to survive these extreme weather conditions and anytime I see a sign for puppies for sale it makes me so mad
