It’s hard to watch but I would rather my friends never be alone in that situation. I guess I’ve been there so I know how hard it can be when you’re in it. Some people are really manipulative but not at first. It happens slowly and it can be really confusing to go through. Even when my friends didn’t stay shit, I’m glad they were there to treat me well and remind me that I deserve care and respect. Just like what healthy relationships look like. It’s easy to lose perspective.

This is true but some people have never considered leaving the person they wanna give their life to even when they do some awful stuff. Like I’d rather you understand that u could leave and choose to stay, rather than shoot me down

the only excuse i have ever allowed (bc im a DV victim) is feeling endangered or if ur waiting to hear about somewhere safe to go / money to come in before they do so
