I love the security that my iud gives me I’ve had Skyla (hormonal) and I have the copper one now. Skyla made my period worse even tho it usually gets rid of it for a lot of ppl. Had to have it taken out bc it twisted and I got it replaced w the copper. Copper also made my periods a lot worse but that’s common so I was expecting it. A lot heavier bleeding and more painful but the security is worth it to me and it lasts for 10 years so if they fuck with birth control laws I’m still good

Your only options aren’t an IUD or a baby. There’s a likely a method of pregnancy prevention that you would be more comfortable with. What do you like about IUDs and what’s giving you pause?

i LOVE my iud!! i don’t get my period, i don’t really worry about anything, and personally it didn’t hurt for me at all
