Unfortunately it's innocent until proven guilty in America but in other places like Europe it's guilty until proven innocent so jails are so full they sometimes let people out or off the hook if they believe the crime isn't that bad like theft or SA..

It’s treated like it’s guilty until proven innocent if there’s a social power dynamic. Ie, Luigi Magione, Renee good, George Floyd. All assumed guilty without trial. Innocent till proven guilty is a privilege for either the 1% or white men, it seems.
