i agree with this. there have been girls at my school that have experienced that or sa at frats and i’m terrified that it will happen to me one day at a frat house. I don’t want to live in that fear. I feel like every year we learn more and more why frats are dangerous.

I went to a smaller school and they were still groups big into hazing. Last weekend there were so many girls drunk and passed out near the frat houses it looked like a graveyard.

Also being said I agree that the big schools just pay to make friends, drink, haze for a sense of power, and take advantage of women which is awful no doubt. Just at the small schools it’s about making close brothers/sisters, building connections with future alumni for job opportunities, and knowing the meaning and values of that sorority/fraternity that you’re in and applying it to yourself which big schools have gotten away from.

For sure at the big schools. I’m going through pledgeship right now at a small school and there is no hazing. Taking tests to know about our fraternity and history is the only required thing but any of the other stuff we do is completely optional and it’s not even like bad. It’s like basic chores usually lol. Maybe I’m lucky with my school but I feel like the small schools are better about stuff like that.

ive successfully boycotted all frats and bars since the end of 2024 🥰 (i have debilitating ptsd from what happened and barely leave the house now)
