Does anyone feel like they’re not exactly tired just stuck. Why does it take me 2/3 hours of waiting for motivation to just do dishes or start laundry?

ooh the glasses thing is good! honestly for me if nothing else works, i will call a family member or friend that i know is good for like at least a half hour of yapping. throw my headphones on and talk and before i know it ill have all my chores done and not even realize i’ve done any work. this might work with podcasts or audio books too, i guess that depends on the person

this is why i don’t rely on motivation i have adhd so motivation kinda just doesn’t happen usually i have to start by getting dressed and putting shoes on, or if i just got home i don’t take my shoes off until i get stuff done for some reason if my shoes are on then it’s Go Time Babey start by just standing up, setting a timer for 10 minutes, and seeing what you can get done in 10 minutes you gotta use momentum instead of motivation

I appreciate this, I’m not diagnosed but I think I may ADHD so i rely a lot on advice like this. I have glasses but my vision isn’t bad enough to need them all the time so I put those on as like a study specific thing to try and flip a switch in my brain. If you have any more advice I’d love love love the help.

Wait that’s so genius I think I’ve done that with my boyfriend before calling him without thinking about the fact that that’s what locked me in. I have him watch me study sometimes but I also like music depending on the day.
