It is a stronger alternative to ignore someone than to swear directly them. Perhaps, taking a minute to think about what to say before saying it is a much more mature approach rather than an immature one.

Perhaps. Or perhaps cussing out a person dissuades them from bad behavior, protecting others in the process, in which case cussing someone out is the much, much more mature option.
