i’m a teacher & my area has really been relaxed on the dress code which is cool but now there’s 14yo kids coming in looking like they’re 21. literally had a girl last month that came in wearing a dress from a brand that makes clothes for strippers. it’s a hard problem to navigate cuz you don’t want to teach kids that their bodies are bad but you also don’t want them to try to grow up so fast! nobody’s wearing teen clothes anymore, they go straight from roblox tahirts to clubbing outfits

In middle school on the last day of school I had to wear a jacket from the nurses office. It was very hot. Including recess.

Our recess was just standing outside in the parking lot in middle school and not running around but still, i was so sweaty I remember

(it’s not just a girls issue, but it’s more prevalent because girls bodies are policed more and under more pressure to look good)
