what is it with religious people (mainly christian’s) getting married so young. like you have your whole life ahead of you. you’ve known the guy for a year. why are you married at 20.

scalding hot take: i think it’s very dumb to get married before the age of 25 because your brain isn’t even fully developed yet. i don’t care what people do and i judge silently but damn.

Well I want babies. I’ve known I wanted babies for a long time, I don’t want a career. I do have a degree, I am fully capable of getting a career. I enjoy what I have a degree in, still don’t wanna do it. Why wait? I know what I want, so now I’m married 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah usually it’s looked down upon to move in/have sex if you’re not married, so people who naturally wanna spend time together just do it

Mostly to avoid premarital sex for those religious enough to follow that rule

like 30 is still so young. i know a couple who’s like 28-30ish and they’ve been together since they were like 16 and just got engaged 2-3 months ago

I feel like if you’ve been together half your life then it’s perfectly normal to want to be married. Im not religious but I am married at the age of 20 because I’ve known my husband since we were 9 and we’ve been together since we were 14, it just made sense to us. We were engaged for a year and half and have now been married nearly a year
