 ppl are so shocked by my lack of nuance within the topic of pedophilia, when i wholeheartedly believe that our culture is extremely permissive of predators and doesn’t about care about victims a tenth of the amount it pretends to. ik that’s bleak, though.

i agree our culture is extremely permissive of pedophilia but i also find the psychology/psychiatry of pedophila like darkly fascinating because its so complex and somehow it happens across cultures but also is heavily culturally influenced

I think that pedophiles are both deserving of harsh punishment and are also deeply broken people who deserve help very very far away from any children. I don’t think that being permissive will help anything.

yeah i agree. and i think different types of pedophiles need different types of help, punishment, and restriction, and also different types of cultural changes to stop them.
