You don’t, it’s an excuse cheaters use to make themselves feel better to try and absolve themselves of some blame.

He slipped and fell into my vagina…quite unfortunate

I’m not the OP but I’ve been in a similar situation. It’s less “on purpose” and more a blurry, drunken moment where boundaries dissolved between two close friends who’d never crossed that line before. Alcohol lowers inhibitions, one thing leads to another, and suddenly we were in territory we had no business being in. Personally I’m not proud of it. It was stupid, careless, and genuinely not planned. That’s really all there is to it.

I dont believe in blatant criminilazation. just because someone did a terrible act doesnt mean you judge them based on their worst mistake

You wanted to do it though in the moment.

yes but then I instantly regretted it.

No, it doesn’t. I’ve been about as hammered in my life as you can possibly get, and never once has that crossed my mind, or, if it has, it’s been a deeply shameful thought. It’s like physical violence: there is no rationale behind it.

But they are also refusing to admit they did anything wrong and has decided to not tell their partner they cheated. That makes them a pos

I just don’t believe in criminalizing others for having mistakes you don’t agree with. Labels are sometimes worse than the act itself.

“I don’t believe in holding people accountable for their actions” is what this is giving

I agree with this but only because I was literally 13 years old when this happened to me and it was my first time I got drunk and I drank an entire four loko to myself. I ended up hooking up w my friends and cheated on my boyfriend but I was BLACK OUT like bad. had no idea what I was doing and I was a literal child. but this is not something I defend. I dealt with the consequences at the time and I have always regretted it. I don’t rlly see the point in trying to justify it

You can’t. You can try; ask any question and come up with any reason or excuse. But again, it’s like if your boyfriend or girlfriend put their hands on you when they shouldn’t have: there’s no way to justify it, no way to get around it. It’s wrong. And that’s never an acceptable option.

you’d be surprised how easy it can happen to people, especially women with lasting anxiety issues, during moments of vulnerability

I’ve had severe anxiety for a decade and many other mental problems making me very vulnerable yet I’ve still never cheated. Stop using mental health as an excuse to be a shitty person

Doing bad does damage to people so yes I’m going to judge u based on ur worst mistake if u killed someone but it was only one time and every day u donate millions of dollars im not going to just forget u killed someone

“One terrible thing” Cheating is one of the worst actions you can do that isn’t directly criminal. Hell, adultery was a crime in many places and honestly should still be. It’s a vile, awful thing to do to someone. You aren to a good person if you cheat. End of story.

Your choices are your own. Quit blaming alcohol for your actions.

I’m not defending cheating at all. However, I am saying that demonizing people based on it alone is not appropriate.

If it does that’s called alcoholism and you’ve got bigger fish to fry in that case.

No it’s 100% appropriate to call out shitty ass behavior. Cheating isn’t a light, oh “oopsie” mistake here.

And yes we should 100% demonize the behavior and make them feel bad. They don’t know what they did to the other person, it’s genuinely life shattering to be cheated on. They can feel bad about their stupid mistakes and especially if they’re defending themselves they can suck it.

I am but not because of this incident lmao. the ppl I hooked up with were my best friends who ALSO had an entire four loko to themselves. we were all equally as drunk and regretful.
