People who try to claim something is racist when it obviously isn’t are so weird to me. Sorry it think that Paul DiGiovani was a better drummer for Boys Like Girls than Jamal Hawke since his energy on stage better matched the band.

Also because 95% of the time the person calling something racist and getting offended isn’t even part of the race in question.

This goes with a lot of things these days. People love latching on to buzzwords that they can throw at people when they don’t agree with them.

I saw someone say pick a white girl and ask if she's pretty and then pick a black girl that is on the same level and if they say she's not equally as pretty then they're racist

I recently saw someone comment on a video of the new “skate.” game that the soundtrack should have more punk or punk-inspired tracks since punk has always kinda been the sound of skateboarding. Someone immediately responded with “weird racism but okay” followed by how hip hop is huge in skating too and to say punk is more connected to it was racist. One, yeah hip hop is part of the scene but skating has an entire sub-genre of punk dedicated to it (skate-punk), and it’s just more connected to it.

Ten original comment never said other genres don’t belong in the game mind you, it was just talking about how the original 4 skate. games had more punk on the soundtrack, but even they had some hip hop and other genre stuff. (Yeah skate-punk and “pop-punk” was more common in late 2000s but the games always had music going from then-current day back to the 70s or so)

Also this kind of dumb stuff lessens the impact of actual racist things that 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘥 be discussed. Especially online.
