If you have a job at an engineering firm, 1 and 2 are taken care of, 3 is where we’re at, 4 is just a road to loneliness. Humans are mutually dependent on each-other, trying to separate from that reliance is unhealthy. The trope of the weird guy living in the woods exists for a reason

independence doesn’t even mean single, it just means not exclusively relying on others. the way u worded this read to me as if the plan was get a job at engineering firm with the sole purpose of finding a husband, find a husband, then quit/move on from that job bc the goal was completed, my b if that’s wasn’t what u meant. i also don’t like the implication that women’s careers are a means to find a man
