i don’t understand what it’s like to exist feeling like you’re in the wrong body, but i will never ever disrespect someone who’s simply trying to live their life in a way that makes them happy. at the end of the day that’s what we all want, and besides, what is there to lose by treating people with kindness?

Hey, I don’t agree with LGBTQ for religious reasons (I’m Catholic), but I still respect them as people. Every human being deserves respect. If people want to hate on me for that then go ahead, but I think everyone deserves kindness and respect no matter what you believe

No, I’m not going to treat with respect people who constantly devalue the lives of those I care about and an entire community of people who has constantly been under attack for just *existing*. Transphobia is rooted in nothing but wilful ignorance and vile disregard for people’s safety and wellbeing. I’ll respect transphobes when their ilk stop being transphobic.

No, hating minorities and actively working to harm them is NEVER justifiable. You don’t get to “disagree” with people existing as who they are. That’s like trying to say some dumbass shit like “I don’t hate people with green eyes, I just disagree with having green eyes.” Learn to do and be better.

It is hating, no matter how you try to twist it. There are no “different opinions” on the basis of WHO someone is. “I don’t agree with you having a head, it’s just my opinion.” is nonsensical and based on nothing but ignorance and hatred. That’s what it is.
