Omg absolutely!!! Also nothing wrong with just wearing clothes but I just saw a video talking about outfits and personal style and the girl was just wearing t shirts and yoga pants like that’s not a fit that’s just what was clean 😭

One really good tip is the point method. Every article of clothing is worth one point, two of it’s a statement piece, has a uniue texture, pattern etc. So jeans would be one point but a studded bag would be two. You want to aim for 7-8 points so you look put together but not overdone.

Yeah I agree, I just call those basic fits and tbh most of my fits are pretty plain- (plain shirts, plain pants, etc) but people do compliment me. I need to buy some more statement pieces but I have trouble finding what would go along well with the rest of my clothes. I also dress like a boy sometimes.

Nothing wrong with dressing like a boy if that’s the look you’re going for. A cool jacket, shoes, or a belt can really elevate a look without having to put too much thought into it :) also look up celebrities that have similar body types, coloring, and style to what you wanna look like for inspo!

Thanks for the advice, i also prefer more polished and put together outfits that don’t overwhelm the eyes so i naturally stay away from too much accessories, clashing colors/patterns, and too much layering if its not needed. I think it looks okay if it’s done right but it’s not for me. I do want to get some better quality pieces that I know I’ll actually wear on a daily basis.

I’m the same way! I wasn’t sure what your style was so I was trying to give very general advice. I’d look up celebrities, tv show, or movie characters that fit the look if that’s what you’re going for. For posh it’s more about quality over quantity, sticking to neutrals, well tailored pieces, mostly solid colors, modest neck and hem lines, dainty jewelry, and making sure everything goes well together.

Yeah! I have looked into things like the kibbe body types and color seasons and from my knowledge I believe I’m a soft natural (or maybe a soft classic) for the body types and a deep winter for my season. It’s funny because I already prefer clothes that suit those styles because I knew they made me look good in terms of what they did for my complexion and how they sat on my body.

It sounds like you already have a good grasp on style but I’m happy you’re open to ideas ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks! And yes I definitely prefer that style, it looks very elegant and sophisticated. I do try to still dress my age but that style always suits my taste. Quality over quantity any day for me haha! I just wish they made women’s clothes with more love because the quality is totally not there anymore so second hand and thrifting is always my best option.
