I like musicals, but my guess as to why people don’t is probably a lot of them r super corny. Even watching them I think they’re corny, but I enjoy them regardless lol.

like if you like rap there are musicals with that if you like opera musicals have that you name a genre you can find a musical for it

i used to dislike musicals, but specifically the ones where they would be talking normally and then suddenly break out into song. past me felt deceived. that’s been resolved.

i enjoy a musical if i’m like attending a show or something but i don’t enjoy just like playing the soundtrack in my regular life. i don’t love the typical humor that’s in musicals and find it corny and sometimes repetitive, so out of the context of the full show it’s just not really enjoyable for me
