I haven’t watched it but I have been to law school, so do you mean like she couldn’t have gone to law school with no pre law or a similar major?

No in the TV show, Elle, she’s solving a huge scandal, and I feel like if you’re that invested in it you’d want to be a lawyer or a detective as a career because of how much she’s involved and solving things. Not major in fashion and only go into law school to win back her ex like she did in the movie.

Exactly! Like she didn’t want to be a lawyer in the first place, only because of her ex. I feel like going through this in the show would have made her want to pursue a legal career at the beginning.

like i liked the part of the storyline where she was constantly trying to better herself to get along better with others, but i feel like they could’ve used a different plot point to do that.

I like that too, but I feel like the TV show Elle wouldn’t move states and change her life for a man, or feel like she needs to rely on him, she’d just accept it and move on. Right now it’s teenage drama so she has crushes, but she’s super independent as a teenager towards the end of the show. I feel like she’d move on and just continue on with her life.

fully agree, i understand the difficulty of removing her grown self from her high school self and her being more dependent probably would’ve made it less interesting, but im sure there were better ways to develop the story

There’s supposed to be a season 2. Maybe something happens that makes her go back to pre-legally blonde Elle instead of TV show Elle? Just to make it more back into a prequel and not an independent-show-supposed-to-be-a-prequel
