Remember she can’t legally deny you access to your own legal documents and you can always call your employer to resend them to another address

Yeah but she did my taxes last year so they sent my refund to a prepaid card . That I would need to do some type of investigation if the money was used. That why I need to check before reporting. Plus I have 20% of my stuff left there I don’t want to repurchase. In addition to that mess she harrased my entire family plus my friends & their parent saying Im “missing “. Need proof of that the terrible living conditions for evidence since I did lead me to homeless preventing me from going to school

If she’s filed a missing persons report against you go to the police station and get that removed as a false report. As long as you are over 18 all you have to say is you left of your own accord and you do not wish to return “home”. Additionally, your mom can’t stop you from collecting your mail as it is federally protected. Just go in, collect your stuff, and leave with minimal interaction with her. Ask for a police escort if you think she will deny you anything.

She just uses that as a threat to show everyone she “cares” about me . I’m over 18 that will not work for me . I did give my coworker my location just in case cause last time she did try to lock me in . I don’t want to get any police interference cause she has had a past of mental issues mf my minor sibling live with her . We don’t have no family to take care of them nor do I want responsibility of housing my siblings

Honestly she sounds like the kind of person that the mere threat of police would make her relent because it would ruin her “image”. I get why you don’t want to go that route but would still recommend you bring someone with you if possible.

My friends are at college and my only friend rn is at work . I don’t wish to even tell her my situation. 1 of my siblings will be home

Yeah definitely that and make your bank the next account to get the address change so she can’t do that again. Keep a close eye on your credit for a while to make sure she didn’t do anything else when you weren’t looking.
