I personally haven't but maybe it helps to hear about my parents? Sorry if not. My dad I know met most of his friends after he moved playing poker and pickleball. My mom knew one person first but she goes to trivia and knows the regulars there. She also made a lot of friends in our neighborhood. So ig maybe try some sort of social hobby and introduce yourself to neighbors if its a safe area
