That we’re still technically at war with them, genocided a quarter of their population, demolished 80% of their infrastructure and have been able to remain relatively financially stable in the last decade or so despite the US’s ongoing attempt to genocide them thru starvation, propaganda, embargoes and sanctions. That the silly things you see reported by “anonymous sources” like mandated haircuts and banned burgers are mostly false

Two things can be true at once. We committed horrific war crimes against them and destabilized their government. And the US continues to spew myths about North Korea. But it’s also true that North Koreans are living in an oppressive dictatorship. One we largely caused. But that doesn’t make it any better.

So it’s just a coincidence Kim ascended as a leader after his father died and has remained there without any elections for over a decade? And it’s just a coincidence he’s had multiple of his family members assassinated so he can stay in power? And it’s just a coincidence that the press are only allowed within a few strict areas of the country? And it’s just a coincidence that entire families get punished if one person does something wrong?
