Day 1 of leash and carrier training my cat so that she doesn't have to stay cooped up in my room all day. We worked on walk cues with her favorite snack. She picked it up super fast she will now stop when I stop and walk when I say to, and will pivot!!

Wowww got any tips? I kinda just put my cat in a harness and let him explore the outdoors (he’s never aggressive) but there has been instances when I wanted to go inside and he will start hissing at me and even swatting

Less bulky harnesses. Bulky harnesses can make them feel trapped. Introduce it slowly, and train them with commands! That’s what today was. Without her harness on, I used her favorite snack to teach her to stop when I stopped walked, walk when I said to, and to turn when I turned. So now, with her harness on, she’ll have those skills

Yeaa some cats are picky mine will sometimes flop but he loves the outdoors so once he’s outside he’s chilling

It’s not necessarily about picky, bulk harnesses make them feel trapped, so the flopping is a freeze tactic
