yeah she had anxiety but it was portrayed as so performative and pick-me. like i so get where it’s coming from but some of the scenarios were so unrealistic. like the “happy birthday dear grandpa” where she riffed for a minute and then got embarrassed. that would never happen. she would’ve HAD to be conscious of that level of showing off when in a performance setting. so her being like “omg i didn’t even realize i did that! i’m so shy and embarrassed now!” is just annoying and stupid

the reason her character did that was to show that she has a passion for singing and can get carried away with it bc it’s what she loves but her anxiety holds her back and gets in the way of her pursuing her passion😭😭😭 of course it’s exaggerated and unrealistic it’s a storytelling device for an animated kid’s movie. like how is she a pick-me she’s a fictional elephant at a family birthday party😭
