I’m genuinely so upset about my gums and teeth. I brush 3x a day if I’m home for lunch and I chew xylitol gum and use interdental brushes when I’m out. I floss nearly every day and I use mouthwash and I’m GOOD!!! but my fucking gums are still receding😭😭

There’s a chance you’re over brushing, using a toothbrush that’s too stiff, or brushing too hard

Brush and floss 2x a day, and I heard mouthwash is pretty bad for you to use daily

Try an electric toothbrush, it will prevent you from overbrushing if that’s what you’re doing now

I have a soft toothbrush from the dentist :( I don’t think I brush too hard because I’ve been scared about my gums for 4 years but maybe :( I try so hard to do it right and my two front teeth are starting to be sensitive and I’m so scared

I might be doing it too hard but the dentist said every time after eating is good. I don’t know😭😭 What’s so stupid is I have a permanent retainer on the top so it’s harder for me to floss and the gums are way better up there!!!

I do most days but like weekend I do 3x. Gum otherwise. They recommend the gum or mints

Like right after eating?? I’m Not gonna pretend I’m a dentist, however I do know you need to wait at least an hour after eating before brushing because it can wear down the enamel and can do more harm than good. I also don’t know if you’re doing this but don’t drink/eat anything, including water, for half an hour after you brush. You want the toothpaste to sit on your teeth and do its job after you brush

No not right after I know you have to wait

I’ve never had a cavity like they said the problem is just my gums and I just have to floss more 😩 it’s so stupid because it feels like the rest of it doesn’t matter
