Yeah i noticed it posted elsewhere. It’s okay to promote something different than strict generative AI. I googled what this company does and ig they replant trees for every use or smth like that. Idk. Sounds better than other ai’s to me but ofc its still using generative and harmful stuff to the environment but as with most things on this planet

Replanting tree projects are by snd large pr stunts. They often choose poor locations and trees that are not suited for them and they die quickly. Or its part of a tree farm anyways so those trees would be planted regardless. Doesnt do shit ab the specific ecological impacts of ai

Oh 1011%. There is no such thing as eco friendly ai, but I was surprised to learn about this one nonetheless. Still anything is better than nothing in that sense🤷‍♀️
