I am. You appear uninformed though if you don’t know the nuance of the whole situation. And since you clearly don’t care about anything but bashing something what while does have issues, but also has saved lives, ima keep it there and say I hope both sides of your pillow are warm and hope you one day actually educate yourself and get the therapy you need. Have a horrendous night sweetheart.
Ofc children should not stay with unsafe caretakers, what gave you the impression I thought they should? The whole point is child centered care. Which is not what American private adoption is. Hence why I’m against it. It puts the adoptive parent first like when we ask questions like “well what are the ppl who want kids who can’t have them supposed to do” which is not the question we should ask. We should “what’s the safest care option possible for the child in question”
The point is that Millie is not engaging in child centered care. She’s engaging in a for profit industry with roots in human trafficking to suit her needs of wanting to parent. That seeks out mothers in need (which usually involves coercing them into relinquishing rights) instead of what’s best for the baby, which is staying with their mother. Something like 98% of birth moms would keep their child if they had the funds. The birth parents need help not to have their child sold
It doesn’t necessarily put them in a better position, just a different one. And the point of foster homes are family reunification, they’re not an alternative to adoption. And there aren’t as many checks after the adoption is finalized which is why many adoptees are subject to more abuse when compared to non adopted children
