May I ask if there’s a specific reason you’ve identified for why you don’t feel comfortable ?

not very because my mom and I are very different. My mom is old school and will not take any of my relationships seriously because she thinks it’s a distraction and that they’re gonna last (which like valid they haven’t) I started dating this guy my second semester of senior year and she basically just told me it was a waste of time because i’m graduating. I don’t really tell her my love life unless necessary

Honestly my mom and I have always been super close I tell her everything- she gives me a lot of advice and clarity when I need it

I think because she’s always kind of babied me lol I’m an only child so we’re very close but I feel uncomfortable talking about anything too adult with her. It just feels like she’ll always see me as her little girl which is sweet in a lot of ways but it makes it difficult to talk about certain things

I do trust my mom to give good advice but my problem is more like I just don’t want her to see me be a young adult in a relationship if that makes sense lol it’s a completely mental thing I have to get over but it’s so hard for me idk
