Yes she was coerced. But that situation wasn’t trafficking. It was my grandparents trying to use me as collateral against their daughter. So no it wasn’t trafficking. But I shouldn’t need to tell you that for you to know I wasn’t trafficked: when I told you that situation wasn’t trafficking. And I was actually, genuinely trafficked and you genuinely need to keep trafficking victims out of your mouth because they are NOT the same thing.

It’s insanely insulting to me and other actual trafficking victims that you’re taking actual issues within our adoption/foster industry and trying to compare them, when they are not comparable. I’m sorry but the commodification of human beings in a for profit billion dollar industry absolutely is human trafficking. They literally charge according to race, gender, background etc. that’s human trafficking for rich ppl 🤨
