Crying some ppl didn’t have a choice or didn’t know that not having sex when ur husband wanted it was an option- also some people genuinely wanted to raise kids lol it’s the same way as it is now

??? They did lmao or they were institutionalized for far less, or they had a family now and they decided that was more important than dying- ppl make tough decisions all the time- but a lot of ppl died and protested so that we had a choice

We’re only looking at the pov of women who continued to live (or were lucky to survive childbirth/other diseases) so a lot of women probably did off themselves. For those that didn’t there’s a lot of societal and religious reasons (like a belief that if you off yourself you won’t go to heaven, or how many stuck it out because they believed their only purpose was to be a wife and give birth)
