No… you’re really not. She wasn’t saying that gay men are the same gross as many straight men. I think she was saying that being “gay” doesn’t mean you are able to invite yourself into these spaces. Personally I don’t have a higher problem with gay men here, so long as they stay *mostly* peripheral, but I think she’s saying that you aren’t invited just because of your sexuality.

i’m referring to the way gay men seem to often get a “pass” bc they’re gay, and they are often welcomed into women’s spaces, but i find that they are often still very misogynistic and critical of women. sexual harassment is not the only thing women are subjected to at the hands of men.
