It’s not weird. Different if he has a gf or if you have a new partner, but it’s really not at all if they don’t. I have one ex I ended on a good note with and we wished each other hbd until I got a bf. It’s kind, I never thought of it as weird or annoying

hmm then i would say to just follow your gut feeling! i know i’m an awkward person so it’s easy to say it might be awkward, BUT ultimately you know yourself, you know him and you know the vibes. if you don’t think it’s awkward and think it would be weird to not say anything, then i don’t see why not! :)
