do you have a solid group of friends? or at least one good friend? if so, let them know you’re planning to do it, and meet with them immediately after you do it, and maybe plan to stay with them for a few days after. (idk if you mean you’re in danger but this is what my sister had to do with her abusive ex).

honestly it sucks but you need to just cut it off then. if you wait for the attachment to break you’ll never leave, graduation goggles are real and apply to EVERYTHING. everytime you go to leave you’ll think of the good times and change your mind but then it’ll just go back to being toxic, if you’ve talked to him about problems and he hasn’t changed them then he never will, the attachment will slowly start to fade away over time you just need distractions

ask your roommates to go do stuff, try not to rely on substances for help (alcohol, weed, etc.) they’re okay every now and then but it can make the process take longer bc it does mess with emotional healing and we just don’t want any drunk texts happening, find a new hobby, get a piercing, and get to know yourself and trust me that attachment will go away. My sister was in a similar situation, it wasn’t dangerous she just wasn’t happy and she stuck around for 3 years bc she still was attached to

him but one day she just decided to break it off and did all of what i told you and EVERYONE noticed a difference in her after just a couple weeks, like she just carried herself better, she smiled more, and she was glowing. I was so happy for her i cried, after a month or two she was back to her happy bubbly self and now has a man who makes her even happier!!! everyone deserves complete happiness and if you don’t have it you shouldn’t settle for anything less!!!
