Also I live in a city/area where their presence has been increased. They straight up have been blocking traffic and pepper spraying people and then threatening them when they try to drive away. They’re not protectors, they’re trigger happy idiots that have been given a position of power

America was built on the backs of immigrants (and let’s not forget slavery, of course). Speak any language you want, follow any religion you desire, and be whoever you want to be. That’s what makes America America. Anyone who thinks immigrants don’t belong here is no American in my eyes.

Yeah, the law makes it hard to arrest people without probably cause for a reason. If you don’t have evidence that someone is committing a crime, you don’t get to detain them. That’s the tradeoff we make to live in a FREE society where you can’t be arrested for no reason going about your day. It quite literally destroys society to have NO STANDARD upon which to detain people. So NO, citizens shouldn’t be arrested. Ever. It’s unconstitutional & destroys our nation.

It’s not about what you care about. If life is at risk, seek asylum. That’s what I did when I left Venezuela. It’s important law and order is maintained otherwise you risk national security.

“A citizen has never been detained for more than 48 hours” please look up the green card holder, Donna Hughes-Brown, who was just detained in Campbell county, KY for half a year over a <$65 bad check from 2015.
