It may be mortifying, but it’s worth it. I’ve had to do it and a vaginal ultrasound, and though it was embarrassing and hurt a tiny bit, it revealed I had an issue with cysts constantly forming. Plus, the nurses were very sweet, which made the experience a lot better :)

while i understand the fear it’s a medical procedure that’s very very important for your health and helps with early detection of cancer, which is MUCH more invasive than a 1-2 minute exam

As someone with vaginismus, I can not get a Pap smear lol
