Tbh fuck a DVD, I really appreciate how low risk downloads are comparatively. I can’t tell you how much peanut butter I wiped into the scratches of DVDs and other discs growing up just to get them to work a little while longer 😭 I agree with your sentiment but I have so much beef with DVDs

The two bits of credit I’ll give them is that blu ray was usable in DVD players and some game consoles, so that was sick, plus they were a MAJOR upgrade from VCR tapes and having to manually rewind those mfs. But it seemed like they would get corrupted if you looked at the wrong sometimes
