
like when people criticize the system people say “well what about people who can’t have children” as though it was a system created for them? it’s not. it’s FOR the children. if children didn’t need placement there would not BE adoption as an option for infertile parents. and hot take: you are not entitled to someone else’s child. so i don’t know why criticism of for profit adoption is constantly shot down as being bad for infertile people… WHEN THAT’S NOT WHO ADOPTION IS FOR.
i agree, people really do act like they have a right to have children, and as much as i truly sympathize for people who struggle with infertility, i don’t think children are a right. and this is also why i’m vehemently pro-choice because i don’t want babies to be born quite literally just be pawned off. it’s quadsi-human trafficking and the more people are aware of it the better i’ll feel.
