i used to work at the ymca and they don’t do any screenings for members. however they have super strict child rules in place for children & members

level one is mostly like skinny dipping, public urination, having sex in a car park at night that kind of stuff. it’s definitionally low risk of reoffending. that’s why their info isn’t shared very widely

yes you are correct i work at a ymca currently and we let level ones in but are supposed to be changing that. we “screen” ours at a state level but level ones don’t register for life at a state level (NY) so often times they are missed, it’s disturbing

level one is “low risk” meaning they won’t offend again. i think the level system is stupid and anyone who 🍇’s or diddlies children so automatically be but on a sex offender list for life but unfortunately we have many things in place to protect these people.

correct, i am aware. anything that puts you as a level one should limit you from being around children.
