Realize that no one is there to judge. That everyone is there just to get better. Know that someone was in your shoes once, also know that if your weight is your insecurity, turn it into inspiration and know that someone in that gym, also walked in maybe heavier and wanted to become who they wanted to see in the mirror. You got this! I believe in you! 🫶🏻

I NEVER went to the gym until I was 25. I genuinely had no friends and was losing my fucking mind. I hated myself and used that energy in a different form of hate and pushed myself for hours in the gym. I started at PF and still there, I would throw on a hoodie, earbuds in, hood up (helps close your peripherals) and I started strictly on the treadmill. I got more into speed and incline. I still don’t run. I do that else where outside. I then felt more energetic after a month and tried the stairs

And I ended up loving the stairs. Plus it drastically dropped my weight and toned my waist and legs some more (I was still running and my warm up included like 1 min of sit ups, twists, plank, squats. I was TONED for the first time ever. Your muscles and fat work over time if you are new or haven’t done so in like a long long time. Results into body recomp faster.) Well winter came and I got lazy. DONT DO THAT. Around April I picked it up again, similar routine. I’m lazier now. S

But now i graduated to weights after all that time on the stairs people watching helped me learn the process of how to move around, what machines did what and where. And once I got into weights I realized okay yea people don’t really care I’m s fucking focused on getting the next rep in through the failures. And NOW I’m using the smith machine bc I am confident I won’t fuck up enough

But ALLLLL of this came from within. Truly a desire to change and suck it up. Once you keep going and YES your brain will tell you ppl watch you. Bc frankly you are watching them. MOST ppl don’t. I’ve noticed that through observation. It’s consistency. That’s the hardest part. Forcing yourself through it all and getting up, easier said then done but once you’re up fuck it dry scoop some pre and MOVE (pre workout helps fr. DONT with heavy cardio days.) but all this knowledge came from <a year
