You should care- your tax dollars going to criminals who live off the government they shouldn’t benefit from is concerning. Of course that’s not always the case, it’s nuanced. But you should care

undocumented immigrants pay taxes but are not eligible for tax benefits like social security benefits, medical insurance, federal earned income tax credit. they actually pay more in taxes than they use in government benefits
