Over the phone, Trump invited the men’s hockey team to the white house and the state of the union, and he said something like “I guess I have no choice but to invite the women’s team too or else I’ll be impeached” and the entire men’s team laughed at that and thought it was hilarious that he didn’t think the women were deserving, despite also winning the gold medal

Idek if it’s about deserving it, they know the women earned it through hard work. They just don’t respect it. They don’t think the win is as valuable BECAUSE it was a women’s league. Women are like… the JV squad to them. Despite knowing they put the same amount of blood sweat & tears into it as the men’s team, which to me is worse.
