my fiance’s mom just brought up the turkey trot but my fiance scheduled his shoulder surgery for this week specifically so we wouldn’t have to run with his family this year because they don’t take no for an answer. next year we’re faking a pregnancy

I told my bf the other day that I was so glad his family wasn’t a turkey trot family and he was like “why? I wouldn’t mind doing one” and my life flashed before my eyes

doesn't take no for an answer is crazyyyy. i literally told my family i wasn't paying $40 to walk alone while they ran and all they said was "fair" thankful for that i guess

oh god that would scare me so much fr i’m so glad my fiance hates turkey trots as much as i do he just gets forced to do it by his family. i come from a “mimosas at 10am, bloody mary’s at noon, and the good beer after 2pm on thanksgiving” kinda family so learning about turkey trots was a bit of a culture shock
