I have not but I had a hymenectomy a year ago and I’ve just had my boyfriend finger me periodically to get more comfortable and last night was the most progress. I’m still unable to put a tampon in somehow I hate my brain

If you can’t do physical therapy lowkey there are probably instructions online — or tbh I could dm you some instructions! Basically you just buy these silicone dilators (my physical therapist told me which ones and I just got them on Amazon), then basically you insert them and deep breathe (she used to say “when you exhale, imagine your vag blooming like a flower”), basically until it no longer hurts, like 10 minutes every night. Was supposed to press the dilator against that muscle while I tried to relax it. I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same with vaginismus, but I assume it’s somewhat similar?

And I feel the tampon thing tbh, when my pelvic dysfunction was bad any size tampon would press against the stressed muscle and make me feel like I needed to pee. And I still remember when I first (somehow) got a really small tampon in before my hymenectomy and the absolute hell that was getting it out (I had a microperforate hymen so the hole was about the size of a q tip 😭)

I would love any tips for dilators and exercises!! I honestly haven’t been back to my gyno since the hymenectomy because the doctor is a man and when I finished the surgery he told me I was “normal” which made me uncomfortable and I’m still not normal lol

My surgeon was a woman and she kept telling me it was “looking very pretty” after 😭 so I feel that

Another gyno (I have an HMO) also brought in a med student once to show off my surgeon’s work 💀
