is it a recent incision? if so, is there any redness, swelling, itching, weeping, separation, etc.?

it's 7 weeks old, i think one of my internal stitches is spitting. it doesn't LOOK that bad and i don't feel feverish, it's just a hole with a white thing in the center that im scared to pull

Is the white thing a stitch? Was it supposed to dissolve?

it might be a stitch seeing that it didn't come out when i pressed on the area around it jdjsksks. some clear liquid was in there but not much. i think i read that the internal stitches can take 10 weeks to fully dissolve, but my top layer of skin was glued closed and had been healed for like a month

the absorption rate depends on the application they were used in!! it can take anywhere from a week to several months. if you’re seeing any kind of separation/holes in the incision (what we call dehiscence) please talk to your doctor. your incision is not healing properly if this is occurring. i don’t work in people medicine but i’m a vet tech and we’re told to bring in the DVM when this occurs

yes my doc said to use neosporin and to come in if it still hasn't closed by next week to have the part of the stitch that's trying to come out removed. thanks for replying!
