A few days ngl unless he has a legitimate appropriate reason for it.

Yall I talked to him and I feel 1 million percent better he apologized and said he would do better and that he didn’t realize it had been that long since we talked and said he would initiate more 😊

the comments kinda got it but for me, i live by “if he wanted to he would,” when my bf or i have too bad of a connection for a ft, he just does a phone call, and we usually call every night.

i agree with this one my long distance bf of 5 years didn’t call me for like 4 days bc it kept not working out, but they were genuine reasons and we normally facetime every night

Sorry that sounded harsh. Not directed at you!

I’m almost always the one who asks to call so I wanted to see how long it would take for him to ask and it’s been almost a week since we called 🫠🫠🫠🫠 are we doomed

Granted he did just start a job so maybe he’s just tired but it’s crazy to me how it doesn’t bother him

That sounds like a serious issue. Just the fact that you always initiate. I have guys on yikyak, snap and insta that are way more responsive… and don’t even get me started on the girlies. They’ll respond faster than I can!

If she needs to nag him to respond while LD, how long he gonna take to respond when she seriously needs something (sick, the kids are in trouble if they have them, her car broke down or she’s in serious danger). My truest friends don’t have this issue and neither should a bf…

have you communicated how you feel? i’ve had to tell my man quite a few times throughout our relationship that the effort feels one sided and that i always call or text first - he often doesn’t even notice it and then fixes it

We text a lot and we would call if I asked but he hasn’t asked me to call and idk why, I don’t want to be needy bc it’s very new but idk how to bring it up

just say something like “hey can we call for a moment? there is something i’ve been wanting to ask you” and then just explain that it bothers/hurts you that he doesn’t call first and that you don’t understand why he doesn’t. when i brought it up to my bf i told him it made me feel like he didn’t actually want to talk to me. the convo actually shouldn’t be too hard if he’s a good dude :)

Yeah that part is what’s getting me too like even if I asked him to initiate more I can’t make him actually want it :// it suck’s bc he’s super reassuring and affectionate in other ways but this is definitely something important to me

You pick the man that gives you the energy you want. Every other is irrelevant. Most relationships work by having the woman settle for 50-60% of what she wants. You don’t have to make that your reality.

Didnt realize. Ugh girl keep his feet to the fire please and make sure its a genuine sorry “I didn’t realize it’s been that long” sounds like “you really weren’t on my mind much until you texted”

Ok damn you’re not wrong but like 😭😭😭 idk I can see how he got swept up with his new job new routine all that even tho that thought did cross my mind I think realistically there’s more that goes into it and he did say him not calling doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to idk I’m still gonna see if I see a big improvement but overall I think I just had to communicate my needs more and hopefully he is going to be receptive to it and change

Yea again not saying that’s what it is, but women tend to let men slip continuously and girls deserve way better than that. You can forgive him this time but don’t forgive him indefinitely for this. He certainly fucked up here…
