Also I forgot to mention he is in the military and was in a relationship a month or two ago. Idk if it’s that relevant but for me I don’t wanna date someone in the army really :/

I’d just say you’re not into him in any way other than platonically and encourage him to look elsewhere for that. Also, just lmk you’re not comfortable with him calling you cutie and flirting, set that boundary!!
